Hatton will not be having a tune up fight before he faces
the challenge of his life in June, against the knockout
specialist , Kostya Tszyu.
I spoke this morning with a close camp member and he told
me that Ricky would be refreshing his body totally , before
going into his own unique training camp, in which he endures
hundreds of rounds on the" body belt" and"
bag bar."
These exercise have given him an edge over every fighter
he has faced so far, and while it is unbelievably gruelling,
it is his secret to success.
Tszyu will be starting his preparation in early March,
which will see him go to "extreme" power training
where he says "every muscle in my body will hurt"
From there, he will go back to his gym in Sydney, were
he will build up his fitness with long periods of skipping,
and bagwork, and floorwork exercises. The final stages
are his sparring and technique training, in which he uses
3 sparring partners , each doing 4 rounds each.
Watching these two fighters prepare is just unbelievable,
and can only mean one thing, come June- we will have two
of the fittest, strongest athletes on the planet, with
only one thing on their mind. K.O.
